Highland Europe launches new €1 billion fund

Post by Royebisin22# »

Highland Europe has announced the closing of its 5th fund at €1 billion. The London-based fund, which focuses on investing in high-growth European internet, mobile and software applications businesses and which generates more than €10 million in annualized revenue, plans to double down on that technique with the brand new funds. Fund V's 1 billion euros only appears in 2 short years as the company's 4th healthy fund of 700 million euros was revealed in December 2020, and now carries the overall capital of the company raised to 2.75 billion euros. It goes without saying that building up a billion euro fund, even over the period required, a fund that has seen the bottom start to disappear from what is now just a choppy waters market is a strong vote of confidence in the LPs business.

In terms of European investments, Highland Europe 's latest activity is leading a $24 million funding round that has backed UK-based vegan, lactose-free and soy products – nutrition bars, free Huel supplements and meal replacement shakes in early December and participated in Paris-based customer experience platform Contentsquare's $400 million Pakistan Phone Number List Series F funding round, which valued the company at 5.6 billion dollars last July. “We would like to thank all the European designers who have chosen to partner with us over the past 10 years. It is their aspiration, talent and drive that drives us as we build category-defining businesses together.

Current market conditions are not easy, but our founder-led businesses continue to grow impressively and efficiently, with a number of global leaders in the mix. We are pleased that our financiers share our belief and thank them for their continued trust,” commented Highland Europe Partner Fergal Mullen .
